Tongfang Party Building | Carrying Forward the Aspirations of Heroes, Composing a Brilliant Chapter for Our Times ——Thematic Party Day Activity of the CPC Committee of Liaoning Tongfang Law Firm
Honoring the Martyrs on Qingming Festival, Together Forging the Chinese Spirit
Remembering the revolutionary martyrs and paying tribute to the revolutionary heroes.
Every year on Qingming Festival, we pause to reflect on the past and honor our ancestors. To carry forward and uphold the Party’s fine traditions, inspire Party members to remain true to their original aspirations and fulfill their missions, and genuinely enhance Party members’ sense of honor, responsibility, and mission—thereby strengthening the cohesion and combat effectiveness of Party organizations—the Committee of the Communist Party of China at Liaoning Tongfang Law Firm has organized all Party members and lawyers to visit the Martyrs’ Cemetery of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, paying tribute to the revolutionary martyrs, in anticipation of this year’s Qingming Festival.
With hearts full of reverence, all personnel stood in neat formation, solemnly and respectfully erect. As the resounding national anthem began to play, we felt as if we were spiritually connected with the spirits of our heroic martyrs. Next, everyone stood silently in mourning, expressing our deepest sorrow and profound respect for the revolutionary martyrs.
Honoring the Martyrs, Forging Loyalty
Next, everyone entered the exhibition hall, where the docent began to recount one moving heroic tale after another: Huang Jiguang used his own body to block the muzzle of a gun; Qiu Shaoyun endured the searing flames without flinching, all to cover his comrades; Yang Gensi, the warrior, achieved remarkable feats by holding fast to his “three unwavering beliefs”... These heroes forged our mountains and rivers with their very bones and blood. We know where these heroes came from, yet we remain unaware of where they ultimately return. But here, at last, our longing finds a place to rest, and their indomitable spirit is passed down through the ages.
In the Memorial Hall of Revolutionary Martyrs, one can find a wealth of revolutionary relics—letters home that brought good news but kept sorrow to themselves, worn-out single-layer shoes, blood-stained garments, and battle flags riddled with bullet holes. As we examine these artifacts, the figures of the heroes gradually take on a three-dimensional quality, making the arduous nature of those battles and the unwavering determination of the heroic revolutionaries all the more vividly apparent. From the moment we enter the hall until we leave, it feels as if we’ve stepped right into the heart of history—from the early days of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea all the way to the war’s triumphant conclusion and the heroes’ triumphant return.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China, this vivid Party lesson not only enabled all Party members and lawyers at Tongfang to feel the heroic spirit but also deepened their appreciation for how hard-won peace truly is. How fortunate we are to have been born in the Chinese nation, inheriting the glorious legacy of our forebears and enjoying tranquility amidst times of turmoil!
The moment we stand before the monument, history, the present, and the future intertwine and harmonize. As the backbone of the new era, all Party members and lawyers at Tongfang Law Firm should deeply cherish the historical legacy of our forefathers, remain committed to perpetuating the revolutionary spirit, and dedicate our lives to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
