Recently, the preliminary round of the Liaoning Provincial Lawyers Association’s Young Lawyers Debate Talent Pool concluded successfully. From November 22 to 23, 2025, the "Young Lawyers Debate Talent Pool Preliminary Competition," hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Lawyers Association and organized by the Provincial Lawyers Association’s Special Committee on Young Lawyers’ Development, with support from the Provincial Lawyers Association’s Criminal Law Professional Committee, will be held grandly in Shenyang. As a key event in the field of young lawyers’ debate within the province, this competition has attracted 108 elite young lawyers from across the province to compete on the same stage. The event aims to identify and nurture a group of young legal professionals who possess both strong professional competence and outstanding debating skills, thereby injecting fresh vitality into the high-quality development of Liaoning’s legal profession.

The competition consists of two stages: a preliminary round and a final. Contestants engage in multiple rounds of intense debate centered around complex legal cases. On the competition stage, participants meticulously unravel the crux of each case, demonstrating rigorous legal thinking and superb rhetorical skills in such segments as argumentation, rebuttal, and free debate. The intellectual exchanges on site were fiercely heated, punctuated by waves of enthusiastic applause. Attorney Song Chunyu from Liaoning Tongfang Law Firm steadily advanced through numerous rounds of competition thanks to his precise interpretation of legal statutes, profound analysis of the factual details of the cases, and a calm, confident debating style. Ultimately, he successfully earned a spot in the talent pool, fully showcasing the professional excellence of Tongfang’s young lawyers.
