Under the vast expanse of the rule of law, since the moment the Civil Code came into effect in 2021—the clarion call that heralded its implementation—Attorney Ma Linping’s pro bono legal education team resolutely embarked on this challenging yet hopeful journey of public legal education. After more than a thousand days and nights of unwavering dedication and relentless effort, accumulating day by day, the team has spent three years composing a moving symphony of the rule of law. At the 25th anniversary gala of Liaoning Tongfang Law Firm, Attorney Ma Linping’s pro bono legal education team was honored with the Public Welfare Role Model Award.
For over a thousand days and nights, we’ve been firmly holding the baton of “One Article from the Civil Code Every Day,” forging ahead bravely and undeterred by wind or rain.
Each member of the team is like a master craftsman, meticulously crafting each day’s legal education materials. From the moment the dawn breaks through the night sky until the stars fill the heavens, you can always see their busy figures. Or bury oneself in the vast volumes of legal codes, meticulously analyzing the profound meaning of each clause and sentence; Or furrowing their brows in deep thought, transforming obscure legal terms into vivid, real-life examples; Or carefully combine text and visuals to ensure that each legal awareness post is both informative and visually appealing.
This three-year journey of legal education has been far more than a mere transmission of knowledge—it has been a profound journey of soul-stirring encounters, a warm embrace between hearts. We’ve been privileged to witness countless eyes once filled with confusion and helplessness suddenly burst forth with the radiant glow of hope, as if the sun were breaking through the clouds at the very moment they first came into contact with legal knowledge. Those who once silently endured violations of their rights, after acquiring the legal tools to protect themselves, now hold their heads high, bravely standing up to defend their dignity and justice. Each heartfelt conversation conducted among the people, each passionate lecture on legal awareness—each one has been like building a sturdy bridge between the law and the public, not only closing the physical distance between us but also sparking deep resonance in our hearts, uniting society in an unwavering commitment to and pursuit of the rule of law.
Three years have passed in the blink of an eye—like sand slipping through our fingers, fleeting and swift. Yet our journey on the path of public legal education and awareness is just like the Long March, a grueling trek that has only just taken its first solid step. The glory and brilliance of these three years, like the brightest star shining in the night sky, will forever guide us forward on our path.
In the days ahead, we will surely ignite our passion with even greater fervor, hone our professional skills to ever-greater excellence, and unleash innovative initiatives that are truly unique and creative—allowing the light of the rule of law to permeate every corner of life, just as spring rain nourishes the earth. We will strive to foster a harmonious ecosystem in which people understand the law, abide by it, and make good use of it, ensuring that the sunshine of fairness and justice shines brightly across the land, warmly embracing each and every comrade who yearns for a better life. Let us join hands and march forward together, continuing to pursue that eternal beacon of light amid the vast expanse of the rule of law’s starry sky, and adding bold and vibrant strokes to the grand blueprint of building a society governed by the rule of law!
