On November 19, 2024, the Shenyang Guangcai Cause Promotion Association (hereinafter referred to as “Shenyang Guangcai Association”) held its second general membership meeting. Attending the meeting were Han Ying, a managing partner at Tongfang Law Firm, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Shenyang Free Trade Zone Office; Na Linan, a senior partner at Tongfang Law Firm; and Wang Tao, a partner at Tongfang Law Firm.

The general assembly elected a new board of directors for the Shenyang Guangcai Association. Attorney Han Ying was elected as the vice president of the Shenyang Guangcai Association, while Attorneys Na Lin and Wang Tao were elected as members of the Shenyang Guangcai Association.

The Guangcai Initiative is a noble undertaking initiated and implemented by a broad group of private economic actors, with the support of the Party and the state and drawing on the strength of the United Front, all aimed at promoting common prosperity. Under the guidance of the United Front Work Department of the Shenyang Municipal Committee, the Shenyang Guangcai Association has consistently focused on the major strategic plans of the Party and the state, proactively engaging in Shenyang’s economic and social development. It actively plays a positive role in areas such as poverty alleviation, helping those in need, fighting against epidemics and disaster relief, voluntary public service, rural revitalization, and fostering communication and exchange among enterprises.


The legal profession is an important component of the non-public sector economy. Tongfang’s firm philosophy—“Walking the Right Path Together, Upholding Integrity and Adhering to Principles”—perfectly aligns with the Guangcai Spirit of the Guangcai Association: “Balancing Justice and Profit, Prioritizing Justice, Striving for Self-Improvement, and Pursuing Supreme Excellence.” Since its establishment 25 years ago, Tongfang has consistently remained committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities. Currently, Tongfang has set up a Public Welfare and Social Responsibility Committee composed of over a hundred lawyers, which has achieved remarkable results in areas such as participating in social governance, promoting legal awareness, assisting vulnerable groups, and supporting education and poverty alleviation. Tongfang Law Firm and lawyer Han Ying have also established the Tongfang Scholarship and the Han Ying Inspirational Scholarship at the School of Humanities and Law of Northeastern University, providing cumulative support to more than 200 students in need.


Next year marks the concluding year of the 14th Five-Year Plan and also the decisive year for achieving breakthroughs in the three-year action plan for comprehensive revitalization. Tongfang will work closely with the Shenyang Guangcai Association and other member organizations, firmly listening to and following the Party’s guidance. We will deeply implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party, actively respond to the new requirements and higher standards set forth by the new situation and new tasks for united front work and the Guangcai Cause, and, while diligently performing our primary duties as lawyers, continue to enthusiastically engage in public welfare and charitable undertakings. Together, we will promote the development of the Guangcai Cause and contribute to achieving new breakthroughs in Shenyang’s comprehensive revitalization.
