On October 29, the 7th Lawyers’ Congress of Shenyang was held in the Grand Conference Hall of the Huangchao Wanxin Hotel in Shenyang. The congress thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping’s Thought on the Rule of Law, comprehensively summarized the work carried out since the 6th Lawyers’ Congress of Shenyang, and made arrangements for the current and future phases of lawyers’ work throughout the city. The congress also successfully completed the renewal of the board of directors and the supervisory board of the Municipal Lawyers Association. More than 200 lawyer representatives from across the city attended the meeting. Attorney Yang Xingquan, Chairman of the Partners’ Meeting and Director of Tongfang Law Firm, served as a specially invited representative. Lawyer Cao Yuanjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongfang Law Firm; Lawyer Li Jing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Senior Partner; Lawyer Wang Sicong, Senior Partner; Lawyer Bao Tengfei; Lawyer Hu Guanglei; Lawyer Liu Kai; and Partner Meng Qingkai attended this conference as representatives.
The meeting pointed out that the city’s legal profession has consistently adhered to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its guiding principle, thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping’s thought on the rule of law, and earnestly carried out the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on lawyers’ work. It has upheld the Party’s comprehensive leadership over lawyers’ work, taken “becoming good lawyers who satisfy both the Party and the people” as its goal, taken serving and supporting the central tasks of Party committees and governments as its main line, and used strengthening the ideological and political development of the lawyer队伍 as a key lever. As a result, the legal profession has continued to promote its vigorous and healthy development, constantly expanding its areas of practice, continuously improving the business environment, fully leveraging its functional roles, and significantly enhancing its overall quality. The vast majority of lawyers have enthusiastically devoted themselves to the practice of building a peaceful and law-based Shenyang, making positive contributions to safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the people, upholding social fairness and justice, and serving the broader cause of revitalization and development.
The meeting emphasized that lawyers throughout the city should deeply study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party, further promote the spirit of the rule of law, forge ahead with vigor and work diligently, embark on a new journey, achieve remarkable accomplishments in the new era, and make new and greater contributions to winning the “Liaoshen Campaign” for the revitalization of Northeast China and Liaoning Province in the new era.
