SUMMARY
On March 24, 2025, the “China University of Political Science and Law Special Enhancement (Criminal & Civil & Commercial) Advanced Training Workshop,” hosted by China University of Political Science and Law and co-organized by Liaoning Tongfang Law Firm, successfully concluded in Beijing.
Led by renowned experts: Deep integration of theory and practice
The training workshop brings together top experts from both the academic and practical legal communities. The keynote instructors—including Wang Xiaodong, Feng Xiaoguang, Huang Xiangqing, and Zhang Zhong—are all former chief judges and deputy chief judges from the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, as well as chief judges and deputy chief judges from provincial higher people’s courts and directors of well-known law firms. They are not only leaders in their respective courts and halls, and elite scholars in the legal field, but also the backbone force driving frontline legal practice.

Tongfang Law Firm not only deeply engages in curriculum design and resource integration but also dispatches 15 elite lawyers from fields such as criminal law and civil & commercial law: Yang Xingquan, Chairman of the Partners’ Meeting; Cao Yuanjun, Secretary of the Party Committee; Wang Sicong, Senior Partner; Liu Kai, Senior Partner; Sun Zhiqiang, Senior Partner; Zou Donghui, Partner; Gao Honggang, Partner; Wu Yanjiao, Partner; Peng Peng, Partner; Attorney Chen Ning; Attorney Zhao Wanyi; Attorney Wang Shu; Attorney Tian Yuhong; Attorney Yu Kehui; and Attorney Zou Mingyi—all of whom participate fully in the training. Through studying cutting-edge theories and honing practical skills, they continuously strengthen their professional expertise and demonstrate the leading role and responsibility of a legal service firm in the face of industry transformation.
At the Advanced Training Workshop on Criminal Law, Senior Partner Liu Kai delivered a speech as a representative. He stated that Tongfang, as a law firm deeply rooted in the criminal law field for 26 years, has always regarded criminal practice as the cornerstone of its business development and boasts profound professional expertise. Tongfang lawyers, too, uphold the spirit of craftsmanship and remain dedicated to the field of criminal law.
He pointed out that the opportunity to participate as a co-organizer in the FDU training program stems from our shared commitment to the rule of law. Moreover, Tongfang’s philosophy of “Walking the Right Path Together, Upholding Integrity and Adhering to Principles” is highly aligned with FDU’s motto: “Cultivating Virtue and Illuminating the Law, Investigating Things to Achieve Public Justice.”
He looks forward to deeper cooperation between Tongfang and China University of Political Science and Law in areas such as talent development and joint academic initiatives, working together to contribute to the country’s rule-of-law development.
