On October 19, 2024, the 10th stop of the Liaoning Provincial Lawyers Association’s Criminal Law Professional Committee’s “Twelve-City Exchange Program for Criminal Defense”—the Tieling Station—along with the Tieling Lawyers Association’s special training event titled “Staying True to Our Original Aspirations and Passing on the Torch to Future Generations,” was successfully held in Tieling City. More than 60 lawyer colleagues, primarily young lawyers, as well as relevant officials from the Tieling Municipal Justice Bureau and the Municipal Procuratorate, attended the event. The training session featured a special lecture by Lawyer Geng Luhong, Director of our firm’s Criminal Law Professional Committee and Senior Partner.
Attorney Geng Luhong’s lecture was titled: “Preventing Criminal Legal Risks of False Litigation in Civil and Commercial Legal Services.” Starting from the background behind the introduction of the crime of false litigation, Attorney Geng Luhong used typical cases to explain, in a clear and concise manner, the key points for preventing risks of false litigation in lawyers’ practice. At the same time, she emphasized the importance of enhancing the professional skills of criminal defense attorneys and encouraged young lawyers to cultivate and uphold high ethical standards and proper professional habits.
During the interactive session, sparks of intellectual exchange flew freely throughout the venue. In response to the practical challenges raised by young lawyers from Tieling City, Attorney Geng Luhong adopted an open and inclusive attitude, carefully addressing each question one by one and generously sharing her insights. This engaging interaction not only greatly deepened the young lawyers of Tieling’s understanding of the essence of the law but also left every participating lawyer enriched and fulfilled, equipped with valuable legal knowledge, rekindling their passion for the legal profession and reaffirming their commitment to upholding the spirit of the rule of law.
