The crisp autumn breeze carries a refreshing coolness, and the sweet fragrance of osmanthus fills the air—this is truly the perfect season for travel. To enhance communication and exchange among committee members and enrich their leisure time, the Committee on Foreign Affairs organized its first team-building activity on October 17. For this inaugural outing, the Committee on Foreign Affairs chose Northeast Asia’s Cloud Prairie—a secluded paradise far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a pure sanctuary where the soul can find peace and tranquility, and an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and photography aficionados alike. This team-building event not only allowed us to savor the breathtaking beauty of late autumn in Shenyang but also deepened the friendship and mutual understanding among the committee members. Now, let’s take a closer look at the exciting moments from the Committee on Foreign Affairs’ activity!

To ensure the smooth running of the autumn excursion, the committee members engaged in multiple rounds of communication and coordination, starting intensive preparations a full month in advance. They confirmed the event schedule, gathered feedback and suggestions from all committee members, and meticulously planned every detail—from banners and snacks to first-aid supplies; from selecting the destination and arranging transportation to booking catering and venues, as well as designing the various program activities. Every single aspect was carefully refined and perfected, reflecting the thoughtfulness and attentiveness of each member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, all aimed at ensuring that every committee member could participate joyfully and return home with cherished memories.

All staff members gathered at the office at 9 a.m. After an hour-long drive, we finally arrived at our destination—the Northeast Asia Cloud Prairie. Here, the mountains are lush and the waters clear, with exceptionally fresh air. Not only does it boast a small zoo where visitors can get up close to and feed adorable little animals, but it also offers a variety of activities such as boat rides, grass sledding, and photo opportunities at trendy hotspots—truly a perfect spot that balances both tranquility and excitement, much like the diversified approach pursued by Fangsuo’s foreign affairs committee.

After lunch, the committee members gathered at a teahouse, where attorney Jin Huishu gave everyone a brief sharing session titled “The Advanced Development and Responsibilities of Foreign-Invested Enterprises under the Dual Overlay of the Foreign Investment Law and the Company Law.” Everyone enthusiastically discussed various topics related to “foreign-related” matters—covering not only foreign-related laws but also languages and some interesting anecdotes. All participants unanimously agreed that “foreign-related” business is neither distant nor contradictory to “domestic” business. As members of the Foreign-Related Committee, we should strengthen our daily knowledge accumulation, pay close attention to international developments and economic trends, and adopt an attitude of understanding and tolerance when considering the differences between China and other countries.

SHEWAI

Liaoning— as the economic, cultural, and transportation hub of Northeast China—has emerged in recent years as a hot spot for attracting foreign investment, thanks to its unique geographic location, abundant natural resources, and an increasingly optimized business environment. On this vibrant land, foreign-invested enterprises have flocked to set up operations, injecting strong momentum into the economic development of Shenyang and the entire Northeast region. Meanwhile, to further attract foreign investment, the local government has introduced a series of preferential policies. These measures have greatly boosted foreign-invested companies’ confidence and determination to invest in the Liaoshen area. Therefore, as lawyers with an interest in “foreign-related” matters, to excel in providing such services in Northeast China, we should place great emphasis on continuous learning—not only in legal regulations but also in language acquisition and in gaining a deep understanding of the other party’s values and customs. This will enable us to deliver even higher-quality, more attentive service to our clients. Whenever people think of foreign-related legal services, they should immediately think of Tongfang Law Firm. We hope that today’s event brings joy and inspiration to all of you members.

Although the team-building event has come to an end, the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie within the Foreign Affairs Committee will never fade. In the days ahead, Tongfang’s Foreign Affairs Committee will continue to move forward hand in hand, creating a bright future together!
