On December 29, 2023, Tongfang Law Firm held its 2023 Annual Dialogue and Awards Ceremony at the New World Hotel. Yang Xingquan, Chairman of the Partners’ Meeting and Director of the Firm, and Li Haiyi, Chairman of the Assessment Committee, delivered speeches. Numerous senior partners, partners, lawyers, and representatives of award recipients attended the event. The meeting was chaired by Han Ying, a member of the Tongfang Firm’s Management Committee and senior partner. The awards ceremony was co-hosted by Bao Tengfei, a member of the Tongfang Firm’s Management Committee and senior partner, and lawyer Wang Sicong.

The Tongfang Dialogue was chaired by attorney Han Ying. Invited attendees included management consultant Huang Yong, founding partner and director of the Dalian office Ma Linping, senior advisor Chen Shaomin, director of the Beijing office Bai Zhiwei, and director of the Anshan office Li Chunfang.

The lawyers engaged in lively discussions around the topic of the dialogue, each sharing their own perspectives and actively offering suggestions and advice on issues related to individual lawyer development and the high-quality development of Tongfang. The atmosphere at the scene was enthusiastic.

Lawyer Li Haiyi, Chairman of the Assessment Committee, first reported on the overall achievements of Tongfang Law Firm in 2023 and expressed high appreciation for the dedication and competence of the Management Committee members, with Director Yang Xingquan at the core. He emphasized that Tongfang’s development would not have been possible without the efforts of every single member of the Tongfang family. He extended heartfelt gratitude to all members of the Management Committee, senior partners, partners, and lawyers for their support and understanding of the Assessment Committee’s work. He concluded by saying that Tongfang’s future will be even brighter!

Director Yang Xingquan expressed high appreciation for Tongfang’s achievements in 2023 and extended heartfelt gratitude to all Tongfang family members, the Management Committee, the Evaluation Committee, and the various specialized committees for their hard work and dedication.

He pointed out that Tongfang’s achievements in 2023 were hard-earned. In an environment fraught with challenges for the legal profession, Tongfang has consistently maintained a growth trajectory in both revenue and performance. In 2023 alone, Tongfang achieved a remarkable 20% increase—a testament to its strong business capabilities, market competitiveness, and brand influence.

As a firm of nearly 300 people, Tongfang has always been a united, friendly, and enterprising team. As 2023 draws to a close, the new year will bring new challenges. How we can go further and make solid progress hinges on the four words: “It all depends on human effort.” To pursue high-quality development at Tongfang, we cannot do without the concerted efforts of every single Tongfang member. Lawyers are not only participants and drivers but also those who take responsibility seriously. He stated that Tongfang must remain committed to building a strong, locally-rooted institution and unwavering in its goal of becoming regionally leading and first-class domestically.
