On December 4, 2023, Attorney Wang Sicong, Senior Partner at Tongfang and Director of the Environmental and Natural Resources Specialized Committee, was invited to deliver an online special lecture titled “Ecological Civilization: Guided by the Constitution” for the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment’s 2023 “Constitution Promotion Week” event.
This lecture will be delivered online, taking National Constitution Day as its starting point. It will provide an in-depth exploration of the constitution’s validity and nature, the historical evolution of ecological and environmental provisions within the constitution, their specific content, and their value and significance. At its core, the lecture focuses on the embodiment of the Party’s thought on ecological civilization in the constitution, and how the constitutional provisions lay the foundation for legislation on ecological and environmental issues. This fully demonstrates the constitution’s leading role in promoting the establishment, development, and improvement of China’s ecological and environmental legal system.
This lecture will further strengthen the ecological and environmental administrative authorities’ awareness of the rule of law and contribute to the establishment of a government based on the rule of law. It will also help bolster confidence in the Constitution, promote the spirit of the Constitution, and safeguard its authority.
