The newly revised Company Law will take effect on July 1 of this year, and at that time it will have a significant impact on the relevant systems of tens of millions of companies nationwide. To fully grasp the core content of the new Company Law and enhance lawyers’ professional capabilities, the Business Development Committee of Tongfang has specially launched Tongfang Academy, organizing lawyers to participate in a series of training courses on the new Company Law. The first session of training began on... The training session was held on the afternoon of March 27, 2024, at the Qingchuang Space on the 43rd floor. The content focused on interpreting the provisions of the new Company Law, systematically explaining the logic behind the legislative amendments, and providing an in-depth analysis of how the new law applies. This training adopted a format in which participants watched online courses delivered by Professor Li Jianwei. Nearly 60 lawyers from the firm actively participated in this event. The training session was chaired by Senior Partner Attorney Wang Chen.
Learning Site
This training course focuses on the changes introduced in the first two chapters of both the old and new Company Laws—namely, “General Provisions” and “Company Registration.” Participants listened attentively and took detailed notes, creating a highly conducive learning atmosphere. Lawyers who attended the training expressed that they would take this opportunity as a catalyst to continuously enhance their professional competence and overall capabilities, approaching future challenges and opportunities with greater enthusiasm and more specialized skills.

Course Instructor
Li Jianwei
Professor Qian Duansheng, Distinguished Lecture Professor at China University of Political Science and Law, Doctoral Supervisor, and Secretary-General of the Commercial Law Research Association of the China Law Society; has devoted many years to research in civil and commercial law and possesses extensive teaching experience. As a legislative expert, he has successively participated in the expert review of numerous legislative and judicial interpretation documents, including the General Provisions of the Civil Code, the Contract Part of the Civil Code, the Company Law, the E-Commerce Law, and the series of interpretations of the Company Law issued by the Supreme People's Court. He is also a member of the Expert Panel on the Contract Part of the Civil Code of the China Law Society.
