Since the advent of a new era, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has elevated its political awareness, uniting and guiding various political parties, groups, and people from all ethnic groups and sectors to firmly listen to the Party and follow its lead. By strengthening ideological and political guidance, the CPPCC has forged a powerful synergy characterized by unity of purpose, resilience in overcoming difficulties, and pioneering spirit. Focusing on key tasks, it has engaged in in-depth consultations and deliberations, proactively offered advice and suggestions, and provided valuable references for making scientific decisions and implementing effective policies. Practice has fully demonstrated that giving fuller play to the CPPCC’s distinctive political advantages will help improve the institutional framework for the people to be masters of their own affairs, enable us to harness to the greatest extent the wisdom and strength of all Chinese sons and daughters, promote scientific decision-making and effective policy implementation, and enhance the efficiency of national governance.
Chinese-style modernization is a shared endeavor of all Chinese people and a common dream of all sons and daughters of the Chinese nation. Today, changes in the world, in our times, and in history are continuously expanding in both breadth and depth. The tasks facing our country—reform, development, and stability—are unprecedentedly arduous and complex. There is an urgent need to further unite hearts and minds, continuously consolidate the great unity of all ethnic groups across the country, and strengthen the great unity of Chinese sons and daughters at home and abroad. Upholding and emphasizing unity has long been a fine tradition and political responsibility of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). On this new journey ahead, the CPPCC will carry forward its fine traditions, remain firmly committed to its political responsibilities, and consciously promote the great unity of the Chinese nation. By mobilizing all positive factors that can be mobilized and uniting all forces that can be united, we will surely make new and even greater contributions to fully advancing the cause of building a strong country and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization.
To continuously consolidate the common ideological and political foundation for unity and struggle, we must strengthen ideological and political guidance and broadly build consensus. We must deeply recognize that upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics is the central pillar for consolidating this common ideological and political foundation, and that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era serves as the overarching guiding principle for the work of the CPPCC. This calls upon the CPPCC to elevate its political awareness, gain a profound understanding of the distinct political nature of the CPPCC system and its organizational structure, enhance its political discernment, political comprehension, and political execution capabilities, and earnestly shoulder the political responsibility of ensuring that the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and its requirements for the CPPCC’s work are effectively implemented, and of pooling together the wisdom and strength of Chinese sons and daughters at home and abroad. We must also strengthen theoretical education, properly handle the relationship between unity and diversity, seek common ground while reserving differences, and promote further political solidarity and cooperation among various political parties, groups, and people from all ethnic groups and sectors—achieving common progress in thought and coordinated action.
As we embark on a new journey filled with glory and dreams, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) shoulders a glorious mission and bears significant responsibilities. Closely focusing on promoting Chinese-style modernization, the CPPCC is called upon to leverage its strengths—its wealth of talent and intellectual depth—by zeroing in on key, difficult, and topical issues related to advancing Chinese-style modernization, further deepening comprehensive reform, fostering high-quality development, and maintaining social harmony and stability, thereby deepening consultative deliberations and policy recommendations. To effectively draw the largest possible circle of consensus around the goal of building a strong country and achieving national rejuvenation, the CPPCC must refine its mechanisms for harnessing the political role of the united front in uniting hearts and pooling strengths, and intensify efforts aimed at bolstering confidence, rallying public support, warming people’s hearts, and strengthening unity. Furthermore, the CPPCC should actively improve its institutional framework and working mechanisms, enhancing coordination and synergy between CPPCC consultations and other forms of consultation, establishing robust mechanisms for in-depth, interactive deliberations, ensuring full expression of opinions, and broadly building consensus. It should also strengthen mechanisms for reflecting public sentiment, connecting with the masses, and serving the people. Finally, the CPPCC must earnestly reinforce the building of its cadre of CPPCC members, cultivating a team of members who understand the CPPCC’s principles, are skilled in consultation, excel at offering policy advice, uphold discipline, adhere to rules, and demonstrate high moral standards. By doing so, the CPPCC can truly become a home for its members, a home for democracy, and a home for unity.

Today, Chinese-style modernization is being comprehensively advanced, and the Chinese nation is marching toward great rejuvenation with an unstoppable pace. On this new journey ahead, we must deeply study, thoroughly understand, and earnestly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on strengthening and improving the work of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
