On July 18, the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China concluded successfully. The "Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Further Deepening Comprehensive Reform and Promoting Chinese-style Modernization," adopted at the session, sets forth the guiding principles for further deepening comprehensive reform. This Decision is a political manifesto imbued with the radiant truth of Marxism; it serves as a rallying call to carry reform through to the end on the new journey ahead, and it also outlines the roadmap for further deepening comprehensive reform.
To promptly study and implement the spirit of the plenary session and to advance further comprehensive deepening of reform with an even more vigorous and proactive spirit, the Party Committee of Tongfang held a thematic Party class on July 29 entitled “An Introductory Guide to the Spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC.” Nearly 40 lawyer members attended this thematic Party class.
The course content covers the following three aspects:
1. The background and significance of the Third Plenary Session.
2. Main contents of the Third Plenary Session.
3. The remarks made at the Third Plenary Session regarding the socialist rule-of-law system with Chinese characteristics.
This course is presented by Attorney Qi Wei, who serves as a lecturer at the Municipal Party School. With extensive teaching experience and exceptional professional expertise, the content of this course has been carefully refined to be both elegant and substantive.
The course systematically reviewed the main contents of the Third Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, distilling the “Five Goals,” “Six Principles,” “Seven Focus Areas,” and “Fourteen Specific Measures.” Party members attending the session expressed their commitment to taking this thematic Party class as an opportunity to identify clear entry points and areas of convergence between the spirit of the Plenary Session and their work in the legal profession, putting the spirit of the Plenary Session into practice in their daily work, and striving to leverage their professional expertise to promote the integration of the rule of law and reform.
After the class, Lawyer Cao Yuanjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongfang, delivered a concluding speech. He stated that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of new ideas, new perspectives, and new judgments on comprehensively deepening reform will undoubtedly become a powerful ideological weapon guiding us as we embark on a new journey of further comprehensive deepening reform. We must thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on comprehensively deepening reform, firmly uphold and effectively apply the underlying standpoints, viewpoints, and methods they embody, and wholeheartedly ensure the effective implementation of the spirit of the plenary session. We should transform the Party Central Committee’s strategic plans for further comprehensively deepening reform into a powerful driving force for advancing Chinese-style modernization.
