On May 18, 2024, the unveiling ceremony for the "Tongfang Young Lawyers College" was solemnly held at the Liaoning Public Security and Judicial Administration Cadre College. Attending the ceremony were Yang Yue, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Management Division of the Shenyang Municipal Justice Bureau; Hou Desheng, President of the Panjin Lawyers Association, Secretary of the Party Committee of the legal profession, and Vice President of the Liaoning Provincial Lawyers Association; Yang Xingquan, Chairman of the Partners’ Meeting and Director of Tongfang Law Firm; Cao Yuanjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongfang Law Firm; Li Jing, Managing Partner and Senior Partner of Tongfang Law Firm; Han Ying, Managing Partner and Senior Partner of Tongfang Free Trade Zone Branch; and Zhao Jing, Managing Partner and Senior Partner of Tongfang Free Trade Zone Branch.

The meeting was chaired by Ms. Jing Zhao, Managing Partner of Tongfang and Senior Partner of Tongfang Free Trade Zone Branch.

Yang Yue, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Management Division of the Shenyang Municipal Justice Bureau, delivered the opening remarks. He fully affirmed the significance of establishing the Tongfang Young Lawyers College and expressed his hope that through regular professional training and guidance provided by the college, young lawyers would be guided toward growth and advancement, thereby accumulating valuable experience for the city’s overall efforts in nurturing young lawyers.

Yang Xingquan, Partner and Director of Tongfang Law Firm, delivered a speech. In his address, he expressed his heartfelt hopes for young lawyers, urging them to become outstanding legal professionals who are soulful, courageous, capable, wise, resolute, and endowed with strong moral character. Director Yang pointed out that the founding purpose of the Tongfang Young Lawyers Academy is to guide the new generation of young lawyers onto the right path of growth, forge their broad perspectives and strong will, enhance their professional skills and overall competence, and cultivate outstanding talents for the legal profession and the rule of law.

At the conclusion of his speech, Director Yang offered a message to the young lawyers, encouraging them to bravely pursue their dreams, shine brightly, and contribute their own strength to the development of the legal profession. The message reads:

The sea is vast for fish to leap, the sky is high for birds to fly;

Youth is meant for striving, and happiness is earned through struggle.

Tongfang is my reliance, and I am Tongfang’s pride.

A scholar cannot but be broad-minded and resolute; the task is heavy, and the road ahead is long.

In the new era, let’s bravely and steadily move forward on the path of chasing the light!
