Tongfang Public Welfare | The Spirit of the Rule of Law Brushes Across Our Hearts: Community Legal Education, Safeguarding a Pure Campus Environment

      In today’s society, the issue of campus bullying is becoming increasingly prominent, seriously affecting the physical and mental health of adolescents. In order to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping’s thought on the rule of law, and to actively respond to society’s call for strengthening legal publicity and education and safeguarding the healthy development of young people, on the morning of July 20, lawyers Yu Kehui, Yu Qianhui, Wang Zejian, and Tao Yudong from Tongfang Law Firm visited the Xingzuo Community in Chengdonghu Subdistrict, Yuhong District, and conducted a legal awareness lecture themed “Preventing Campus Bullying.” They also provided free legal consultation services to community residents.


During this event, attorney Yu Kehui delivered a vivid and insightful presentation to community residents—especially students and parents—on the socially relevant issue of school bullying. Through real-life case studies, she analyzed the definition, types, harmful effects, and legal responsibilities associated with school bullying, helping participants gain a deep understanding of the seriousness and detrimental consequences of this phenomenon. At the same time, Attorney Yu Kehui also provided specific and practical advice on how to prevent school bullying, as well as how to respond to and handle incidents of school bullying.


In addition to the engaging lectures, Tongfang lawyers also provided free legal consultation services to community residents. They patiently listened to the residents’ legal concerns—whether it was uncertainty about school bullying or other legal challenges in daily life—and offered professional and thorough answers to each question.



This event was warmly welcomed and highly praised by community residents. Everyone expressed that, through their participation in this activity, they not only learned a great deal of legal knowledge about preventing校园 bullying but also enhanced their awareness of self-protection and the rule of law. They hope that in the future, even more such events will be organized in the community to create a favorable legal environment for the healthy growth of young people.



Introduction to the Tongfang Public Welfare Committee



The Tongfang Public Welfare Committee, officially known as the Tongfang Law Firm’s Committee on Public Welfare and Social Responsibility, was established on December 29, 2021, and currently has 106 members. The Director of the Tongfang Public Welfare Committee is Attorney Zhao Jing; its advisory members include Attorney Yang Xingquan (Director and Chairman of Partners at Tongfang Law Firm) and Attorney Han Ying (Director of Tongfang’s Free Trade Zone Branch Office). The Deputy Directors of the Committee are Attorneys Li Lizhi, Sun Zhiqiang, and Wu Menglai; the Secretaries-General are Attorneys Jia Jiayu, Wei Shiyu, and Yu Liyuan; and the Deputy Secretaries-General are Attorneys Wang Weijing, Zhang Xin, and Xu Wenzhuo. The Tongfang Public Welfare Committee is dedicated to charitable causes and leverages the professional strengths of lawyers to serve society and the public.
