On August 22, 2025, the Membership Training Committee of the Dalian Bankruptcy Administrators Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”), in collaboration with the Bankruptcy and Liquidation Law Specialized Committee of the Dalian Lawyers Association and the Digital Rule of Law and Digital Economy Specialized Committee of the Dalian Lawyers Association, will host a thematic exchange and training session on “Disposal of Data Assets in Bankruptcy Proceedings.”

This training session specially invites Sun Zhihong, Partner at Liaoning Tongfang (Dalian) Law Firm, Deputy Director of the Special Committee on Private Economic Development and Protection of the Liaoning Provincial Lawyers Association, and Director of the Professional Committee on Digital Rule of Law and Digital Economy of the Dalian Lawyers Association. In addition, the director of Shandong Dayang Law Firm, president of the Dongying Bankruptcy Administrators Association, and a Doctor of Law delivered keynote presentations. The meeting was chaired by the deputy director of the Association’s Membership Training Committee, and more than 90 members participated both online and offline.

Attorney Sun Zhihong shared practical achievements related to the fundamentals of data assets under the theme “Sharing Practical Insights into the Basics of Data Assets.” At the foundational cognitive level, Attorney Sun clarified for the attending members the forms and logical relationships of data assets and distinguished between “data products” and “digital products.” On the compliance front, Attorney Sun systematically reviewed the current laws, regulations, and policies governing data infrastructure and, drawing on the “Compliance Assessment Report for Public Data Products,” highlighted key considerations for assessing the compliance of data assets in bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings. Finally, she emphasized that in the AI era, lawyers should leverage differentiated services to support enterprises’ digital transformation while actively harnessing AI tools to enhance their professional capabilities.

The training focused on foundational understanding of data assets, compliance practices, and applications in bankruptcy scenarios. Participants provided insightful and practical perspectives, earning unanimous recognition from those in attendance.
