Attorney Liu Hong is a founding partner of Tongfang. Since beginning her practice, she has handled both litigation and non-litigation cases for more than 50 foreign-invested enterprises. Details of major cases handled:
1. We handled a government land-restitution case for Dalian Yifang Real Estate Company, with the litigation amount reaching 1.5 billion yuan. The court largely upheld our claims, and approximately 1.5 billion yuan of the awarded sum has already been fully enforced.
2. We have handled several cases seeking payment for construction projects from Jiangsu Nantong Second Construction Company, with the total amount involved reaching 1.5 billion yuan. The outstanding project payments have largely been collected and fully repaid. Previously, we also handled numerous civil and commercial cases for Jiangsu Suning Appliance Group (a publicly listed company).
3. Previously represented a film and television company in a copyright dispute case against a certain television station, fully complying with the relevant legal provisions of the Copyright Law and effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the copyright holder.
4. The only lawyer authorized by Sichuan Wuliangye Liquor Co., Ltd. to combat counterfeit products in the Liaoning region, who has fully protected Wuliangye’s legitimate rights and interests.
5. Since beginning his practice, Attorney Liu Hong has represented clients in nearly several thousand civil and commercial litigation cases, helping them recover economic losses totaling nearly 10 billion yuan.
In addition to handling foreign-related civil and commercial cases, Attorney Liu Hong has served as the long-term legal counsel for dozens of large domestic and foreign enterprises and government agencies, including Shenyang Yintai Department Store Co., Ltd., Shenyang Tongli Bus Co., Ltd. (a Sino-foreign joint venture), the Shenyang Branch of an investment bank, the People’s Government of Heping District in Shenyang, Shenyang Television, Shenyang Cable Television, Zhongxing Shenyang Commercial Building Group Co., Ltd., Shenyang ZhiLi Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. (a Sino-Hong Kong joint venture), Shenyang Vanke Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., Shenyang Qishi Real Estate Co., Ltd., Guodian Hefeng Wind Power Development Co., Ltd., the Tieling Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China, Rongfu Group, Shenyang Tongli Bus Group (a Hong Kong-invested enterprise), the Benxi Municipal Local Tax Bureau, and Shenyang Huitian Heat & Power Co., Ltd. (a publicly listed company). Currently, he continues to serve as the long-term legal counsel for Shenyang Zhongxing Building Group Co., Ltd. (a publicly listed company), Shenyang Vanke Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., Shenyang Qishi Real Estate Co., Ltd., and the Benxi Municipal Local Tax Bureau, and possesses extensive experience in corporate investment and risk management.
Social position
Previously served as a judge in the Economic Adjudication Division of the Liaoning Provincial Higher People's Court. Participated in the organization and research of some complex economic dispute cases across the province, as well as in providing guidance to lower-level courts on economic adjudication work. Was in charge of guiding economic adjudication at the intermediate people's courts in the southern Liaoning region (Dalian, Yingkou, Anshan, Liaoyang). In 1997, the case “Can a Non-transferable Bill of Exchange Be Pledged?”—handled by Liu Hong—was included in the Supreme People's Court’s Selected Cases Collection.
