2. Li was suspected of fraud involving over 100 million yuan. After a not-guilty defense, he was released on bail pending trial and the case was dropped one year later.
3. After an acquittal defense, Zhang and his brother were released on bail pending trial on suspicion of copyright infringement. The case was dismissed one year later.

8. Entrepreneur Lian was accused of issuing nearly ten million yuan in falsely issued special value-added tax invoices. After mounting a not-guilty defense, the court reduced the amount involved by over 5 million yuan and shortened his sentence by 25%.
9. The case against Liu, a senior executive of the company, accused of accepting bribes from non-state entities, was sent back for retrial after an appeal in which he was defended as not guilty; the sentence was subsequently reduced by 25%.
